Learning correct principles about our breathing, increasing our heart rate, how the body releases toxins during exercise and proper warm up and cool down principles are only a few of the many ways Martial Art training makes us strong and fit. Fueling the body for the challenge increases our understanding of the body we live in and how to maximize its efficiency. Each work out begins with Kimoodo breathing which oxygenates the body at a cellular level. This feeds the cell with oxygen and also allows the cell to be cleaned. The stances in the Kimoodo combined with the breathing promote flexibility, range of motion and health.
Reduction of stress and tension: The world we live in is not simple. Stress is one of the leading killers out there. When you come into the Dojang (Taekwondo training area) you check the world at the door and now it is Taekwondo time. After an invigorating work out using both hemispheres of the brain and a chemical release that clears your head and stimulates your body, plus Martial Art skills that challenged you on every level, when you walk back out the door, things look and feel different.
